When asked about her holiday shopping Cathy Christmastime expressed, “I have 75% of my shopping done. Each person on my list is getting one gift. ”
If she already has 24 gifts, how many people is she shopping for?

I’m going to post the new question, but you must WAIT until Monday to answer. I want to start having the question of the week begin… at the beginning of the week. So, if you comment your answer early, it will be deleted.
If you’re having trouble commenting your answer, please show me at school. I’ll have you log in during silent reading and we can see where the problem is.
Edward went to Thanksgiving dinner at Carl’s house. Carl asked everyone to bring a desert, but since he wasn’t specific, everyone bought pie. When dinner was over, there were 5 pies left over. Everyone split up the left overs and Edward was given 3 5/8 (three and five eighths) pies. When he got back home, he decided to split his share into equal parts for him and his 2 roommates. What fraction of the original 5 extra pies did Edward end up with in the end? (hint: Think about the concepts we studied last week.)
